Kubwa Achievers Lions Club Empowers Young Nigerians through Innovative Training Programs

In celebration of International Youth Day, the Kubwa Achievers Lions Club, District 404A2 Nigeria of Lions International, has taken significant strides in empowering young people in Nigeria. The Club, known for its community-driven projects, organized a series of impactful initiatives aimed at harnessing the potential of young people.
The Club conducted a six-month intensive embroidery training program, sponsoring 18 participants to learn the intricacies of embroidery machine operations and design. Additionally, 40 participants were trained on interior decoration, equipping them with valuable skills in creative design.
In a groundbreaking initiative, the club organized a 7-day intensive online training and empowerment program on Basics of Cybersecurity. Over 1,000 participants from across Nigeria participated in the program, with 30 finalists from the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, selected for a quiz competition and computer-based examination. The top 15 participants were shortlisted, and the best five were awarded laptop computers and customized Lions Arise laptop bags while the remaining ten participants received cash prizes.
